Through a generous contribution from Hursthouse Landscape Architects, the Historical Society has a beautiful master plan for landscaping the north end of the new History Park, including the corner property and the area around Stacy’s Tavern Museum.

Upcoming Events
The History Center is located at 800 N. Main St., Glen Ellyn   (entrance is at the rear (West end) of the building)
Stacy's Tavern Museum
is open for guided tours Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Sundays from 1:30 - 4:30 p.m., with the last tour starting at 3:45 p.m., or by appointment.  The Museum is located on Geneva Road just west of Main Street. Entrance to parking is on the west side of the building.
The Development Committee
meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:15 p.m. at the History Center.
GEHS Board Meetings
are held the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the History Center.
The Founders Ball …
a historic evening

On February 28, the Glen Ellyn Historical Society hosted The Founders Ball in celebration of three milestones that are happening this year: the 200th anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln, the 175th anniversary of the original settlement of Glen Ellyn, and the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Glen Ellyn Historical Society.

Candlelight Tours
Friday, Nov. 27, 2009            6:30-8:30p.m.
Experience a true Pioneer-era Christmas with the sights, sounds and tastes of the season.  Listen to carols played on the antique meladeon, enjoy home-baked cookies fresh from the oven and dance the Virginia Reel to lively music played on the fiddle.

Tours led by costumed interpreters will leave from the History Center at 800 N. Main Street (NW corner of Main & Elm St -  please use the West Entrance).
